Our Sim Racing PC builds: the best PC at the best price, automatically
Choosing the parts for a sim racing PC isn't always easy. Between AMD or Intel processors, NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards, compatible motherboards, DDR4 or DDR5 memory — and daily price swings on top — it's easy to spend hours comparing before you order.
That's exactly why we've launched a new page on RacingTech: our Sim Racing PC builds. The goal is simple: offer coherent builds, suited to different uses, whose prices are updated automatically so they always show the best combination available at the moment.
We don't sell assembled PCs. We simply select the parts that currently offer the best performance-to-price ratio for sim racing.
Three builds for the way you play
Not every player has the same needs. A build meant for a single Full HD screen has nothing in common with a PC able to drive three screens or a VR headset. That's why we offer three build tiers.
Prices updated automatically
The main benefit of this new page is that it doesn't show a frozen build. Each selection is recalculated automatically from Amazon prices gathered several times a day.
When one part becomes more attractive than another, it can be swapped automatically to keep the cheapest compatible build in our selection. So you no longer need to compare dozens of references before ordering.
Always-compatible parts
Building a PC isn't just about picking the cheapest parts. Everything still has to be compatible. On RacingTech, the platforms are built around validated sets:
- processor;
- motherboard;
- memory.
Each trio is fully compatible. So you won't risk picking a motherboard that doesn't match your processor, or unsuitable memory.
AMD or Intel: choose your platform
Some users prefer AMD, others Intel. Rather than forcing a choice, each build lets you switch from one platform to the other.
By default, the page shows the platform offering the best price at the moment. In one click, you can compare with the other platform and immediately see the price difference. The choice stays entirely in your hands.
Several alternatives for each part
The displayed part isn't necessarily the only good choice. Under each item, you can see other references we also track. You immediately see:
- their price;
- the gap with the main selection;
- our occasional comments when certain references are of particular interest.
For example, a 32 GB memory kit may be recommended over a 16 GB model if we feel the gain in comfort or the build's longevity justifies the price difference. We deliberately separate objective data (price, compatibility) from our editorial recommendations.
A starting point for building your PC
These builds aren't fixed models. Above all, they serve as a starting point. You can perfectly well take:
- the GPU from a high-end build;
- the SSD from another;
- a different power supply.
The one important rule concerns the processor, motherboard and memory trio, which must always stay compatible. The rest of the build can be adapted to your needs and your budget.
Save time choosing your next Sim Racing PC
Our goal is simple: to save you hours of comparison. You pick the tier that matches your use, you compare AMD and Intel if you want, you check the suggested alternatives, then you go straight to the parts.
